S.O.U.L.MAG

No. 1 · October 2026 · The review of the night

What is the S.O.U.L.MAG, anyway?

A magazine of the night, written by those who live it.

Here we gather texts offered by night dancers: letters written at dawn, reviews of nights out, reflections born on the dance floor between two beats, memories we didn’t want to lose.

Each text keeps its own voice and words. You don’t correct an emotion: you make room for it, you lay it out, so it can be read, reread and shared.

The S.O.U.L.MAG is the living memory of the spirit of underground living: what happens when everything comes together — the music, the people, the presence. That feeling can’t be bought. It is earned. And it is told.

Do you have a night to tell? It belongs here.

A tribute to two DJs who mark time, written without planning to after a good Sunday.

Costa only wanted to say it was a good Sunday; the text overflows. Monitors, two veterans united by music since youth, a matured B2B, a dynamic that multiplies effects, and a thank-you for nearly 25 years of DJing.

This article illustrates We Are One over twenty-five years: two DJs and a floor who went through weddings, births and losses together. The culture holds through loyalty, not events.

A night that becomes a reflection on dance, the brain and healing.

Costa first bears witness to what was lived at Stereo, then looks at how bass, rhythms and lights act together on body and consciousness, and ends on a personal reflection: dance as a mental space freed from threat.

This article demonstrates that a truly safe place heals: freed from threat, the brain repairs itself. The deep meaning of a protected space, and why Safe is no decorative word.

Why a good DJ takes absolute control of a floor and its dancers.

A subjective return on a Les Beaux Dimanches night where Elio, arriving late, makes up the lost time twice over. Costa then takes the mechanics apart: announced structures, the breach to jump into, bass lines and the endorphin release.

This article reveals why a floor agrees to give itself: building tension and releasing it creates trust. Music First, explained from the inside by a dancer.

The Portuguese DJ gathers old-school dancers: flawless sequences, energy held all night, Luc’s lights. Then a moment of spontaneous kindness, the very manifestation of what unites these people.

What SOUL is before what SOUL does: the state of connection lived on the dance floor.

Costa puts into words the surrender to music, the empathy for those dancing around you, then why this state deserves to be named and protected, and why encouraging good conduct dissolves darkness better than chasing it.

This article reveals the root of everything else: SOUL is first a way of feeling, a state that is earned and cannot be bought, before it is a code or an action.

A portal more than a party. Costa salutes the three DJs, moves from I to we, describes the process of identity and the body of the soul, then calls on wills. Each chapter can also be heard, read by him in French, on SoundCloud.

This article reveals the origin of the word: here, SOUL is defined. From collective consciousness to the egregore, it finally names what the floor makes you live and calls everyone to carry it beyond the club.

Monsters, samurai and the whole court of the King of France surround Élio. Costa compares his playing to a bird diving into a canyon, to Indiana Jones fleeing a temple, then explains endorphins, dopamine and GABA.
