Night of December 7, 2024

« Dancers who know how to be patient will be rewarded a hundredfold… »

Technically, this text is NOT a review of the night of December 7, 2024, featuring Simply City and Dimuth K, but it was during this night that these words crystallized in my mind. I am sharing them here simply, while letting you know that a separate text will follow for the actual review.

This FULL PROG night of December 7, 2024, was slow to ignite. But once the connection happened, I reached the divine—the god of music, the goddess of dance, and everything that dance could ever encompass.

Through the music and the moment, I experienced the perfect connection—an exceptional, immersive unity with the rhythm, the light, and the floor. I plunged into it COMPLETELY, and it became an experience that encapsulates all my lifetime’s dancing. It took hours, countless hours, to fully dive in and FEEL, but when it happened… my entire being and consciousness were suffused with light, brighter than ever.

I say it, and I’ll say it again: when I connected and plunged alongside you, fellow dancers, I felt as though all my years of dancing poured through me in pure perfection, expressed in every single move. Immersed in the deepest depths of the beat and the blue, I felt extraordinary, powerful, connected, and awestruck—fully present. In humble conviction, I declare that I danced movements that even dance itself didn’t know could exist, reinventing gravity and rewriting the very concept of motion. It was divine.

You know me. When I dance, I write—without even thinking. Words of divinity flow into my mind effortlessly, descending directly into my awareness. This is how it is. So I extract these words to share them with you here, letting them become yours, as they are universal. They are not mine but belong to the Great Consciousness, of which I am merely a pencil.

These are the words that arose in my mind during my prayer in motion, words that perhaps convey the universal essence of dance experiences and the sensory connection we share through the Great Consciousness.

These words are meant for you, through me, without regard to my person, which is of no significance. Embrace the act of forgetting me to truly receive this shared offering—it is yours, illuminated by your consciousness, deep in the blue and black, amidst the lasers and indigo.

Letter to You, Who Are Here…

If I could, if I were Stereo, these are the words I would entrust to you…

To you, whom I love so much, right next to me…

I am you, I am me, I am her, I am him, I am us, I am you, I am everything, just like you, connected to the greater whole.

I am from here or there, the eternal dancer of London, Paris, New York, or Montreal—the center of the world…

I am you, I am me, I am us, I am you, I am them, I am everything, just like you.

I am the nameless dancer, without a label, a fleeting partner on every dance floor on the planet, beyond language or words, as only movement reveals authenticity, truth.

In Argentina, in Mexico, in Portugal, in clubs or festivals, at grand soirées, at tiny gatherings, or at after-hours around the world.

You exist as you, there or here, just like us.
What matters is being there, through you, him, her, them…

For every dancer on the planet finds themselves on the floor,
Unbothered by worldly concerns.
The only passport is spontaneous dance,
The kind we don’t seek but that brings us together.

I am that fleeting smile, appearing
Between two beams of light,
In the weaving of rhythm through movement.

I am the person beside you,
Radiating energy,
Connecting you to yourself,
Forgetting the “I” for a moment,
To become “we” and connect to the greater whole, despite everything…

I am that knowing glance, emerging between two shoulders and a step,
Where sharing intimate space and extreme closeness is no longer a constraint,
But a joy embraced with fluidity and mutual ease…

We move, we dance, we sway,
We connect, we manifest movement.
We express an energy that vitalizes, shaping us as it rides the sonic wave itself…

I am you, I am us, I am you all, I am everything, just like you.
I am that magnificent woman dancing with her whole being,
With only the DJ as her lover, free in every movement.

I am that man, confident and smiling,
Seeking nothing but joy without expectation, kind and carefree…

I am that dancing couple, revisiting a time before children,
Now grown, as they rediscover their youth…

I am those two lovers, parents slipping away to reconnect,
Through the memory of entwined bodies,
Returning to the moment of their first meeting,
On this floor of boundless freedom…

I am you, I am us, I am you all, we are everything,
Like that moment when, with a perfect stranger,
I surrender completely to the dance,
Without a thought of what they might think…

I am that unknown smile, those gleaming eyes that surface for an instant
But return so often during the same event,
That through dancing, we create a new intimacy
With someone who was once a stranger,
But with whom I am now bound…

I am that spontaneous and fulfilling connection,
With new faces that we make laugh,
With whom we dance without knowing their names,
But with whom the moment becomes eternal.

I am that moment at the smoking area,
Asking for a lighter,
Finding a hand that sparks a friendship.

I am that wonder-filled gaze,
Watching someone dance freely,
Reminding me how beautiful it is
To move without fear, without worry.

I am that boldness, that letting go, that surrender,
That breath that completely frees me from others’ judgment,
Plunging me deep into my own consciousness through the trance of dance,
Thinking of nothing but the movement and my breathing…

Breathe, move, breathe, dance, breathe, eyes closed…

I am that intimate gratitude,
For living this,
For sharing it with other humans,
For feeling the luck of being here.

Yes, yes,

I am that spark of awareness,
Spontaneous and fleeting,
Flowing through my senses in my absence,
Throughout the dance, the trance.

I am the JOY of reuniting with loved ones, with friends who recognize us for who we are on the dance floor, and how we move together so effortlessly.

I am you, I am me, I am them, I am us, I am you, I am all of us,
Gathered in blue, red, black, and indigo,
In the depth of the rhythm,
Plunging into ourselves, within the lights of the night, where everything glows.

I am that moment when time disappears,
When only the beat of the rhythm
And the breath remain.

I am that light that transports me to another world,
Immersing me in another reality, lulling my senses, or pulling me out of absence…

I am effortless ease,
The subtle synchronies
That guide our steps without effort.

I am those magical encounters, that wonderful spontaneity,
Those improbable moments impossible to invent,
Those unexpected connections that enrich the night and enter your life.

I am that wild, exalted moment,
When my body BECOMES the dance,
When the dance itself reinvents,
Through rhythms that guide my whole being for the very first time,
As though it had always been that way…

I am that distant friend,
That smile exchanged across the crowd,
Through an instant break in the straight line of dancers,
Like a bridge between two souls in motion,
Captured in the improbability of an already vanished moment…

I am you, forgetting a phone in the restroom or on a couch,
And finding it again at the coat check without worry.
I am you, finding that phone, instinctively returning it to security,
As you would hope someone would do for you.

For that’s not what we’re here for, and you love your neighbor.

I am you, I am me, I am him, I am her, too beautiful,
Whose innocence draws endless hollow compliments.
I am you, the friend who stays present but not intrusive,
Keeping ill intentions at bay with a smile.

I am you, I am me, I am her, I am him, I am us, I am everything.
I am that moment of grace,
When everything becomes one, when we breathe in unison.

I am You, you, you, and you too,
You over there, you here,
All of us connected through dance.
