"It applies to so many other areas of everyday life. Individualism is spreading — we need to stand up for the values of every human being." — Virginie, volunteer — public consultation 2026

These mantras are part of a simple collective framework: living the night better, together.
Here, that's how we do it.

How it was born?

In October 2024, S.O.U.L. Montréal brought together about twenty stakeholders from the underground scene — organizers, artists, volunteers, participants — to produce 16 video capsules around 10 ethical mantras. These mantras were then submitted to a public consultation, closed on April 15, 2026, with unanimous results.

These mantras are not rigid rules — they are simple behaviours to protect the magic of the dancefloor. Values that become gestures.

The consultation is now closed, but the commitment isn't. S.O.U.L. Montréal is looking for volunteers, collaborators and board members.
